The Colorado Lottery announced who won the game's biggest jackpot in more than a year, $11.5 million in a Colorado Lotto+ drawing on February 15, 2023.

The winner was Mohamed Y., of Aurora, who was shocked when he went to the lottery claims center and found out he had won the big prize playing the Colorado Lotto+. We may know his first name, however, we will never fully know who this winner is as he chose not to reveal his last name.

Mohamed chose the lump-sum option worth $5,777,552. The Colorado Lottery released a photo of his winning ticket with the numbers 10-15-24-29-35-40.

To a certain extent, lottery winners can remain anonymous in Colorado and there are alternative ways to remain semi-anonymous when collecting a prize.

The Colorado Lottery says "The Colorado Lottery does not recognize trusts, partnerships, or corporations as winners of Lottery prizes. Once an individual has claimed a prize, they can open a trust, partnership, or corporation.”
