What are the biggest Colorado Powerball winners stories?

Powerball is known for having the biggest jackpots out there, with a record jackpot of $2.04 billion in 2022. The Powerball has been very generous for Colorado over the years and there have been lots of Powerball winners stories.

Colorado celebrated its first Powerball jackpot back in 2007 when two Polish couples won a $20 million jackpot.

Seven years later, Claude G. and his wife Jackie got even luckier when they won $90 million at the August 14, 2014 Powerball draw.

However, the most impressive Colorado Lottery win came three years after that, on September 16, 2017. For that Powerball drawing, Judy Finchum from Clifton bought a ticket from a convenience store in Grand Junction. For the numbers, Judy picked her birthday, just as she had been doing for 30 years, but that drawing would be like no other drawings in her lifetime because that ticket won the $133 million Powerball jackpot - making her Colorado's biggest lottery winner.

While Colorado is yet to score another Powerball jackpot after Judy Finchum's win in 2017, the lottery is still turning people into millionaires on the regular. In 2020 alone, three Coloradans scored big Powerball prizes.
